Karmika Rubin, Esq
President
Attorney Karmika V. Rubin has been in law since 1996 and is licensed to practice in the State of Florida and in the Federal U.S. Tax Court. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, Fred G, Minnis Bar, St. Pete Business League, Revealing Truth Ministries, Truth of Life Ministries and Church Law Today.
As the Founder of Truth of Life Ministries, Inc., Attorney Rubin has earned the title of the ‘Ministering Attorney’ as she minsters God’s word through Face Book, YouTube, Instagram, Radio, Live Events and Podcasts. As a former teen mother, Attorney Rubin is a living testimony of how to be successful in life in the face of a challenging society.
MacKinley Justin, Esq.

Attorney Justin started his own law firm in 2018. The firm has served the legal need of homeowners, purchasers and sellers, real estate and mortgage brokers, agents, brokerages, title companies, investors, other real estate professionals, and their clients. He and his firm also represent clients in debt collection, creditor representation in bankruptcy, breach of contract matters, and other litigation and transactional work.
In addition to being a licensed attorney in the State of Florida, Attorney Justin is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Florida.
Attorney Justin is very passionate about the law and finds the study of the law to be fascinating and incredibly enjoyable. Attorney Justin enjoys staying fit, volunteering, music, and is an avid basketball fan.

Ashley Ward-Singleton
Parliamentarian
Ashley N. Ward-Singleton is a native of St. Petersburg. She attended Florida State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She received her Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law. Ashley then interned for a large insurance defense firm in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she would later work as an associate for several years.
Following this experience, Ashley pursued a Federal Judicial Clerkship with the Honorable United States Magistrate Judge, Carol Mirando in Fort Myers, Florida. After her clerkship, Ashley returned to her hometown and began practicing at a large national employment law firm. Ashley defended companies in employment actions taken against them. Ashley was then recruited by a law firm in St. Petersburg, Florida, representing Plaintiffs in personal injury and first-party property insurance matters. Presently, Ashley is an attorney at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. and defends insurance companies in a high-volume practice with cases all over the state.
Ashley is actively involved in the community. She is on the Board for the Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast. She is a graduate of Leadership St. Pete. She has also been on the Leadership St. Pete Planning Committee since she graduated. She is Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees for Mt. Moriah Christian Fundamental Academy. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Antoine Daniels

Antoine D. Daniels was born and raised in South St. Petersburg, Florida. Antoine went on to attend college at The Florida State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Antoine then attended FAMU College of Law and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree. While attending FAMU College of Law Antoine was selected for the United States Army Judge Advocate General Clerkship and participated in various organizations.
Throughout his life, Antoine has been a huge community advocate. Antoine currently coaches youth basketball for the YMCA, mentors youth with Lawyers for Literacy, and volunteers with Metropolitan Ministries as well. Antoine was recognized as the 2018 Rising Star by Fred G. Minnis, Sr. Bar Association.
Antoine currently focuses his practice on Insurance Defense matters with the law Office of Glenn G. Gomer. Antoine was a proud Assistant Public Defender in Hillsborough County prior to working with the Law Office of Glenn G. Gomer. While working as a Public Defender Antoine tried both jury trials and bench trials that ranged from Misdemeanor to Felony cases. Antoine is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated.
Judge Karimu Hill-Harvey

Karimu F. Hill-Harvey, retired Judge, born in Orange, New Jersey has and continues to dedicate her life to righting the wrongs experienced by people of color and promoting the economic, social, political and cultural development of African American communities.
Judge Hill-Harvey has received numerous awards and recognitions for her work and advocacy including the YMCA of Essex & West Hudson “Women of Influence Award”, The Seton Hall University “Distinguished Alumni Award for Law Politics & Justice” and The National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women’s Club, Inc. “Woman of Distinction Award”. Of exceptional note is the fact that Judge-Hill Harvey was the first African American woman listed in the “Top 20 Verdicts and Settlements” of the New Jersey Law Journal, by obtaining a $3.25 million settlement in Grant v. LaResca in 1995.
She has been acknowledged for various case laws, publications and has numerous industry membership affiliations such as the American Arbitration Association, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Sarasota County Bar Association, George Edgecomb Bar Association, Fred G. Minnis, Sr.Bar Association and Association of Retired Attorneys of Sarasota.
Judge Hill-Harvey is a widow (Balozi Z. Harvey), with two children and 2 grandchildren. Judge Hill-Harvey continues her legacy of righting wrongs for all – particularly African Americans.

Sanite Ermat, Esq.
Sanite Ermat was born in Haiti. She moved to South Florida in 2000 where she spent most of her childhood. In 2010, Ms. Ermat relocated to central Florida to attend the University of South Florida. While at the University of South Florida, Ms. Ermat interned for United States Senator Bill Nelson and Florida Senator Arthenia Joyner. As a recipient of the Fall 2013 Gilman International Scholarship, Ms. Ermat spent a semester studying at the EWHA Woman’s University in South Korea. In 2014, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and Communication.
In 2014, Ms. Ermat moved to the District of Columbia to attend law school at the Georgetown University Law Center. In 2016, she returned to South Florida to finish law school at the University of Miami. At the University of Miami, she participated in the Litigation Skills Clinic, the Street Law Clinic, and the Federal Appellate Law Clinic. She also, interned for the Miami Dade Public Defender’s Office, Florida Supreme Court, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. In 2018, she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Miami School of Law.
Post law school, Ms. Ermat joined the Miami Dade Public Defender Office. She has tried cases ranging from misdemeanors to juvenile cases which included both misdemeanors and felonies. Ms. Ermat now joins Shelton McKean, where she practices insurance defense litigation.

Assita Toure, Esq.
Born and raised in Miami Florida, Assita Toure, Esq. is a graduate of Stetson College of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Criminology from the University of South Florida. While at Stetson, she obtained a concentration in Social Justice Advocacy, was awarded the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award, served as the Treasurer of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) in her second year, served as the President of BLSA in her last year, and in her final year of law school, Attorney Toure was the recipient of the Fred G. Minnis Bar Scholarship.
Assita Toure was also a Diversity Access Pipeline (DAP) Scholar. This was an immersive program which supplemented her law school experience with the aim of preparing her and all the other scholars for the legal profession. DAP strives to promote diversity and leadership in the legal profession.
Assita Toure, Esq. recently became a licensed attorney in Florida in 2019. She is currently employed at the Law Offices of Julianne Holt in the 13th Judicial Circuit where she is an Assistant Public Defender and practices criminal defense.

Sanatosha Sewar
Sanatosha Y. Sewar is the founder of Sewar Legal, P.A. She received her B.A. (Magna Cum Laude, 2010) and M.S. (Summa Cum Laude, 2011) from Florida A & M University. She received her J.D. (2015) from Nova Southeastern University.
As a student, Mrs. Sewar was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and a member of the White and Gold Honor Society. She served as Vice President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, Marketing Chair for Gwen S. Cherry Woman Lawyers Association, Social Chair for the Association of Business law students, and Liaison between T.J. Reddick Bar Association and the Black Law Student Association.
Mrs. Sewar is currently a member of the Attorney’s Title Fund Services, LLC. She is also active in the community through services of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Habitat for Humanity, City of St. Pete, Tampa Bay Rays, and the Early Learning Coalition. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and certified by the Supreme Court of Florida to practice as a Circuit Civil Mediator.
Candace D. Coleman
Immediate Past President
Originally from California, Constance D. Coleman has served as a client advocate in St. Petersburg, Florida for more than a decade. The founder of the Coleman Law Group, she holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis and a Juris Doctorate from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School (Lansing, MI).
Her dedication to service began in law school, during which she was an ambassador for the institution. For five years, she volunteered with Gulf Coast Legal Services, assisting the elderly with legal matters. She is a guardian ad litem, an attorney ad litem, and Chairperson of the Mt. Zion Christian Academy.
As an auto accident and slip and fall attorney, she embraces her quest to help accident victims and others. As a prior member of the Barney Masterson Inn of Court for 7 years, she served on the Board for 2 years, during which time she was named a 2019 SuperLawyer Rising Star.
In addition to being a licensed attorney in Florida, Ms. Coleman is also a licensed Real Estate Agent. She enjoys purchasing real estate to add to her personal portfolio, but she also prides herself in understanding the nuances of the real estate market and using those skills to help homeowners buy and/or sell their homes.
